Euston, compared to St. Pancras, has very little charm. The old school train was compact but clean. We soon made friends in the lounge, after a tipple of ‘Scottish wine’. An interesting nights sleep, cradled and rocked by the old loco (ex First Group, possibly a Mark 111 coach. Please let us know if Graham is wrong😃). Our cosy overnight journey, brought us to Inverness. Click for Caledonian Sleeper Train Info
Would really like to take the Caledonian sleeper train sometime too!

I’m intrigued with trains but do not have the opportunity to ride them anymore. I once took the train from London to Manchester. It was a long time ago. When I lived in NY I traveled by subway.

I love NY. We visited a couple of years ago. We met some interesting people on the subway:) thank you for your comment Angela, wishing you all every blessing for 2019.
