I’m privileged to be cruising into Liverpool Dock this morning. We’re tying up beneath the iconic, Royal Liver Building, under the watchful gaze of Bella, the seaward Liver Bird. These mythical feathered beasts feature in Liverpool’s coat of arms. Bertie, is sentinel over the city side, and Bella, watches over the seamen and travellers.
