The stunning highlands of Scotland in the distance, as we cruise down the River Clyde from Greenoch. We’re looking forward to returning to Scotland, by train. The views from the ship are amazing, the photos don’t do the scenery justice.
We arrived this morning to the plaintive call of a lone piper, playing in the morning mist.
It’s a lot more colorful than Antarctica (we were there after Christmas on Polaris, a Viking Expedition). If you have an opportunity to go there though, do it.

Wow what a trip you had. What was the Viking ship like?

Polaris is a smallish ship. Scientists were on board doing their experiments – microplastic in the water, sealife, etc. They had lectures about what they do. You can visit them in their labs. We were able to go on land, and trek up the ice covered hill, visit an old hut, watch the penguins. Food and Service is excellent. It was great.
