Postcard from the Panama Canal.

It’s tropically hot, with a gentle, cooling breeze. Many folks are on the bow of the ship, to watch the approach to the Canal.

The rainforest on the banks, are alive with the sound of birds, who are so well camouflaged, they are rendered invisible. Vultures soar, or hunch on the banks. Pelican are abound.

We pass beneath the Atlantic Bridge. Captain sounds the horn, as we skim beneath. The locks are then in sight; a huge container ship in front of us, starts to climb the locks. We wait our turn to enter the lock gates, the mules trains on the bank ready to manoeuvre us.

A unique experience.
