We set out from Euston, London, on the Caledonia Sleeper Train,
It’s a fun way to travel overnight. We arrived in Inverness 8.30 am the next morning.
We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Hotel Inverness. You can check out my review on trip advisor here
We ate at the Cinnamon Indian Resturant and had a great evening out.
To explore the near bye Lochness we caught the 919 Bus to Drumnadrochit.
We went to Aviemore by train and explored the stone circle, steam trains and a fine view of Cairn Gorm.
On our last day we had tea in the magnificent Royal Highland Hotel Inverness
Inverness is a great place to visit. If you do, I hope you find these links helpful.
Coming soon, a Christmas trip for High Tea at the Pump Rooms Bath.
I visited Inverness years ago and loved it. My children who were 8 and 11 at the time, told the hostess of our B&B that we were going to see the Loch Ness monster. She told them that they had to have a “wee dram” first. They didn’t have the “wee dram” but were convinced they say the monster anyway. It was a great trip.
