Walking in the Beautiful City of Bath

We are in lockdown, in England, so our daily permitted walk has become precious. Today’s misty morning with the promise of sun, invited a long ramble, before rain clouds could curb our enthusiasm.

My husband and I set of to walk from Southdown to Alexander Park, then down into Bath City.

The walk to the Park was a Suburb ramble passing beautiful Bath Stone houses. We realised we had not walked to Alexander Park before, perched precariously above the city. After admiring the views below, we the descended into the city, via uneven steps, that offered great views of our home town.

The city centre proved quiet. Covid aware shop displays, a reminder of our sad epoch. A repurposed telephone box, and the awesome Bath Abbey.

We stopped for a takeaway coffee before, walking up the long hill home. A good 7mile walk with amazing views and jolly good company.

I hope you enjoy the walk with us, via these photos.

Proof of our adventures exertions!
